A pair of pants will tell you things a scale will argue about. The waistband sits differently. A button has an opinion. A favorite shirt starts asking for a different day of the week.
People treat that as a private embarrassment. It is closer to data. Clothes meet the body you have this month, not the body you remember from a photo. They do not know your intentions. They only know fit.
You can use that without turning the closet into a courtroom. Notice which things feel easy. Notice which things you have been avoiding. That is a picture. It is not a sentence.
Some people keep one “tell” on a hook: a jacket, a pair of jeans, a belt. Not as a threat. As a quieter check than a number that moves with salt and sleep. If the tell starts talking, you already have something to bring to a licensed clinician, or to your own notebook.
A Good State will keep treating clothes as part of how you feel in your body. They are not a verdict. They are already in the room.
